Roller Shutters - Aluminium
Anvil Metals have extensive experience in the production and maintenance service of aluminium roller shutters. We offer an Australia wide quality service, dedicated to customer satisfaction. There are two types of aluminium shutters available:
Anvil Metals AL 45
The AL45 Roller Shutters are ideal for both external and internal installations in most building projects, including counter tops, trucks, over windows, display cabinets, warehouses, factories, recreation and sporting centres, mining and heavy industry workshop facilities.
Specifications AL 45
Curtain slat
Anodized aluminum extruded hollow section profile (.394kg per meter) with a face depth of 45mm which displays the same visual look on both sides. Nylon clips are fitted to every second slat to prevent lateral movement and provide smooth operation. Optional bottom rail slat to provide locking via mortice key lock centrally mount into it, not available on motorized doors. Testing on this profile shows that it is structural adequate for region D t/c 1 and 2 not exceeding a width of 1700mm. Finishing's available in most powder coat colors.
Guides
Anodized aluminum channel section profile 70mm wide(1.423kg per meter) with hollow back section 22mm in depth designed to withstand force from intrusions and high wind loadings. Hollow back allow for concealed fixings. Nylofelt fitted to both internal faces of guides for quiet and smooth operation. Finishing's available in most powder coat colors.
Axle assembly
60mm aluminum octagonal axle suits compact spring assembles and internal tube motor drive systems. Motorized doors can be powered DC or AC 240v and operated wireless remote or key switch wired.
Box cover enclosures
Covers and protects door bundle and working from external and internal surroundings. Aluminum die cast side plates locating to top of guide ends and anchoring motor or spring mounts. Box and cover sizing will vary depending on door height Finishing's available in most powder coat colors.
Anvil Metals AL 90
The AL90 all Aluminium Roller Shutter, is suitable for the following commercial applications; Schools (perfect for undercover assembly areas), Shopping Centres, Arcades, Sports Complexes, Clubs, Bars, Counter tops and many more applications.
The "AL90" Aluminium shutter is designed to give greater security to large openings.

Recommended application
The "AL90" all Aluminium Rolling Shutter, as manufactured by Anvil Metals, is suitable for the following commercial application; Shopping Centres, Arcades, Sports Complexes, Clubs, Bars, Counter tops and many more applications.
The "AL90" Aluminium shutter is designed to give greater security to large openings.
The "AL90" curtain
The "AL90" Curtain is assembled from extruded Aluminium Slats made up from 90mm x 1.4mm thick aluminium. Both ends of the Aluminium Slat are fitted with specially shaped nylon moulded end clips to reduce friction during operation and prevent lateral movement with the guides.
Options available
Slotting of Aluminium Slats are available in sizes from 160mm x 60mm to 600mm x 60mm for ventilation with option of clear polycarbonate sheeting sliding into the back of the slat to reduce dust and add additional security.
Ventilation slotting varying from 160mm to 600mm x 60mm will give 50% of free air flow.
Side guides
Slide Guides are made of Aluminium extrusion 100mm x 38mm with a rubber twin fin or mohair felt buffer for a quieter operation.
Locking
Locks can be fitted to all doors. Generally the AL90 door is motorized in which Anvil Metals recommend that all Motorized doors not be fitted with locks.
Bottom rail
The bottom rail is a heavy extruded Aluminium section with a special rubber seal to the bottom rail. The back of the bottom rail has black nylon infill so that the back of the bottom rail sits fully closed in. Size of Bottom rails is 126mm high with a 60mm T section at the bottom.
Motorization of drum:
Option one
Option one is a steel drum with helical springs for the balance of the curtain which is driven by an electric motor and drive chain. (chain bracket work is adjustable)
Option two
Option two is a steel drum with a motor and brake directly coupled to the drum. This reduces noise levels especially when fitted to apartment blocks and car parks.

Please contact Anvil Metals in regard to side room and clearances. Also power supply needs, as all doors vary.
Finishes
Standard powder coated colours and 10Um matt natural anodised. All other finishes please contact Anvil Metals.
Sizes
The metres of each shutter can go to a width of 8000mm x 4000mm high.
